Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is the application of continuous therapeutic pressure on muscles and connective tissues of the body to release pain and tension. This service is utilized for the client’s areas of concern or pain. Therapeutic techniques used may include effleurage, compression, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and active or passive release.

Orthopedic massage

Orthopedic Massage is an advanced therapeutic method for helping clients relieve pain and identify movement restrictions. This bodywork assesses the client’s capability to move by testing their range of motion and if/when pain is felt, and often deals with helping clients after injuries and surgeries to gain movement back. It also helps with daily aches and pains, sports injuries, scar tissue manipulation, and tension associated with aging. Orthopedic massage is an advanced therapeutic work including range of motion techniques, orthopedic and deep tissue massage techniques, cupping, IASTM tools, flossing, kinesiology taping, active release, trigger point release, and specific exercises given by a personal trainer.

Corrective Exercise Session

The corrective exercise sessions are centered around improving strength, flexibility, and range of motion. These sessions are guided by an American Council on Exercise Personal Trainer and will help clients identify and work towards achieving their goals. Posture, gait, flexibility, mobility, and muscular imbalance assessments may be performed during a session to help provide direction towards exercises needed to help the client.

CUPPING

Cupping therapy is the application of silicone cups to the skin to create a tissue decompression through vacuum suction. The decompression of the connective tissue draws blood to the surface of the body to help with inflammation, pain, blood flow, nerve compression, and increase neurosensory stimulation. Cupping may leave red circles on the skin. However, this not bruising, this response is called a histamine response which is the body’s natural healing process. kinesiology taping

Kinesiology tape is used to mechanically decompress the skin and the underlying tissues it is applied to. Kinesiology taping is also used stimulate the sensory nerves in the skin and underlying tissues helping the brain override the sense of pain. Taping helps to encourage proper posture and help with inflammation and swelling.
